We have lived in our home for over 50 years. It's the only house we ever purchased. We are both retired now and decided we should consider selling our house and possibly downsize our living arrangements. We didn't know very much about how to best move forward with this so we decided to contact Jamie to get some advice and to help us with the best way to proceed. Jamie has been an extremely valuable resource. He must have spent numerous hours researching the possible alternatives we have in selling at this time. He met with us and asked pertinent questions to better understand our needs and concerns. He then organized several possible options for us along with the pros and cons of each and was able to explain these options in a very clear/organized manner that we could understand. From day one, James was very helpful and accommodating, reaching out by phone or by email when new listings popped up or when prices reduced, and just to chat to find out exactly what I was looking for. He was always flexible and able to meet me to look at properties as it worked out with my schedule. There was never a time when I felt that James did not have my best interests at heart, nor did I feel unimportant or neglected. He is a very down to earth and sincere guy, and very knowledgeable with all of the intricacies of his profession. I actually ended up using all of her recommendations for other services- loan officer, attorney, and inspector which made things flow so flawlessly. They were SO helpful, immensely LGBT friendly, considerate and on time. We worked with another realtor before them who was rude, uncomfortable with us being gay and frequently late, but from our initial interview with Lauren and MaryEllen, they created a rapport that was comfortable and made us feel like long time friends. They both have a great sense of humor which made looking at houses fun and amusing. Lindsey went on a two year journey with me to find me the right home, that I could afford with all the things I needed to continue to have a happy family life. I was going through a divorce. She was mindful of that without being pushy and it actually helped me to share with her what my situation was and what was needed. She never gave up on me. I was up and down and had never bought a house on my own. She never tried to push me into anything I wasn't ready for and actually helped me to stay clear of things that I may have, if not for her, tried to buy and would have regretted. When the timing was right Lindsey got me the house I wanted up against 16 other bidders. She gets her credit by being very smart and knowledgeable regarding the market and how to make things happen. I feel so lucky that I was guided to her over all the other Real Estate Agents that wanted my business. Because of the buyer's loan company, the closing was delayed several times. The delays could have made the process much more stressful, but each time, Teri was quick to put things in perspective and explain our options clearly. In the end, we took Teri's advice and stuck with the original buyer. We ended up selling the house for slightly more than the asking price. When we bought our first house we were newly married with only 1 dog and no children. We now have 3 children and 2 dogs and needed to move to a bigger house. After speaking to a couple of local real estate agents we found online, we hadn?t had any luck. Many we left messages for never even called us back. We found Teri and contacted her based on reviews and were pleasantly surprised at how quickly she called us back and scheduled a time to come to our home and we had our discussion. She was prepared and very knowledgeable and explained the process to us. A lot of things had changed since we bought our current home. Once we decided to hire her, she spent the time to walk through the house with us and told us what things needed to be addressed to maximize our profit. She followed up with a written list and checked in with us to make sure we were on task. When we were ready, she came back over and we decided on a price for our home. She immediately had the photos complete and on every website you could imagine. We had multiple showing appointments in just the first few days and 2 very good offers. With Teri?s guidance we ended up accepting an offer just slightly over our asking price. Teri is very honest and did a great job managing our expectations. We immediately needed to start looking for a home to buy. Teri knew what we liked and showed us just a few homes before we found the perfect one. She really took the time to listen to what was important to us and all the homes we looked at were what we had described to her. She again advised us on a price and we got our offer accepted with minimal negotiating and for less then we had budgeted for! A win-win for us for sure!! I have worked with Teri in the past when she sold my home in 2012. I relocated out of state for a couple years and moved back this year. I immediately reached out to Teri and of course, she picked up the phone and knew who I was. I didn?t have to explain our history of 4 years ago. I told her what I was looking for and explained that I had a short timeline to find my home. She directed me to a great lender and I had my preapproval in hand within 24 hours. She explained to me in detail how the market had rebounded and houses were going quickly. She couldn?t have been more right. It seemed no matter how quickly we scheduled our appointment to see a property it went under contract before we could get in the door. To speed things up, Teri scheduled an entire day to tour homes. We looked at 12 homes and out of those 12, two were perfect. She submitted my offer for my first choice within an hour of our seeing the home and insisted on the seller responding that same evening. She was determined to get my offer accepted. Not only did my offer get accepted, we got it for less than asking price which is almost unheard of right now! She knows the market well and always provides very candid advice. With the help of the lender she recommended we were ready to close in only 2 ? weeks. The closing went very smoothly and I was able to move in just 3 weeks from when I began my home search. Purchasing a home is no small feat these days and Teri is a true professional who will work hard for you so that you make a well informed decision. Teri is the only Realtor I would ever consider working with or referring to my friends and family.

I was desperate for someone to help me sell my mother's condo. She needed money to live on and this was her only option. We live in Illinois and knew there would be no way we could do this project from so far away without help. As we were planning our trip to get the condo ready to sell, I gave Teri a call after seeing her reviews. I explained our situation and let her know the poor condition of the condo being that it had sent empty for years with no upgrades. Knowing how the real estate agents work in Illinois, I fully expected her to hang up and block my number. However, as we talked she immediately put me at ease and I knew she was the perfect one for the job. She set up a meeting with us at the condo right away and I could feel the tension just melt away as she asked us questions and assured my mom that she was doing the right thing and that she could get us a fair offer. Since we were only planning on staying a few days, Teri was able to get our contract ready that same day, and had people lined up to do various projects to get the condo ready to put it on the market. We left the next day knowing that we had nothing to worry about. Within a few days she messaged me that we had an offer and after a little negotiating my mother got what we considered an excellent offer for her place. The place sold in a week and we closed in September.

On our closing day, she wanted to treat us to lunch to celebrate but instead we?asked her to join us as we first entered our new?home and to have a?toast with us for?all the hard work that she put into this endeavor for us!? So now we had our new home but were a little worried of the fact that we now had still owned our old home and now had two mortgages as well.? So May 25th, 2014 Teri listed our old home for us and again guided us on a correct market value to sell.? Well on May 26th we had 7 offers.? On May 27th they all upped their price and we sold our old home for more than we were asking.? Again, Teri saved our lives!? Yes, we closed within a month!? Never had overlapping mortgage payments at all!?? Teri was once again there for us through our whole process of selling this time and guided us through every step. Thank you Teri McGinn for all your services and all you did for us and for being more than a professional business person but becoming my friend!

She is just the BEST!!! We have never deal with a realtor so committed to help you in every aspect of the house buying process, she was very patient in taking us to see many houses, and always surprising us with "treasures" found meeting all our requests and expectations. After we chose the house she was always there to make sure that things were done our way. Even after closing she helped me get the seller to replace my water heater! I was so happy working with her, that I recommended her to a friend that needed to rent his house (I never recommend anybody), she got it rented and tenants moved in by the first of the following month!!!? She is just great, if you are looking to buy, sell, or rent. Don't look around anymore, you found the best of the best!?

There were times when agents didn't show up for appointments and she did a great job handling the situation.? She made sure that the interested buyers were qualified so I did not waste any time negotiating with anyone who was not.? She had my home under contract quickly and kept the processing moving as quickly as possible to closing.? When the buyer's agent dropped the ball and wasn't following through, Teri made sure to stay in contact with the buyer and their lender to keep the transaction moving forward. My transaction closed on time and all of the details were taken care of. I had no worries. I would recommend her to anyone wishing to sell their home. She is very knowledgeable and kept me informed every step of the way.

It didn't take long for me to recognize that her knowledge and professional expertise were quite special.
